Stuart Interiors were commissioned to design and manufacture all the principal interiors for this new build, a timber-framed house in Connecticut with a focus on late medieval and early Tudor styles.
The work included four bespoke oak staircases, one with hand-carved lion and unicorn finials. The master suite has a canopied four-poster bed and a Renaissance-style cabinet that hides a television. The dining room has Tudor-style oak panelling and a hand-carved overmantel, and the Great Hall holds an 18-foot dining table.
The oak library has Tudor arched glazed doors and a Renaissance-style overmantel. This project took around two years to complete, from initial concept designs to final installation, at a budget of around £800,000.
